:: Procrastinater! ::

So I did actually get to go to the thing at Carson's church that I was talking about the last time I posted. Twas fun.

Then on Wednesday, I went to Shell Island with my Youth. I cut my foot on a shell and people cared. A nice feeling...

On Thursday, I saw Missa. I had tea. Num.

On Friday, I don't know what I did...

On Saturday, I went shopping just for fun. I didn't buy anything except for a Coke from the Food Court in the mall, but I had fun checking out bedspreads for my room. I found a cheapish one that I like for my room.

On Sunday, we had our Youth-Led Service. I got recruited at the last minute to sing a solo, but it was a song that I already knew very very well, so it was all good. And then, when I was giving my testimony thingy, I kinda rambled. Like, I'd written down what I was going to say, and I finished saying that. But then something that Tim had said made me think and I went off on this tangent and...yeah. But people seemed to like it anyway, so it worked.

Today, I went to Orientation at New School. We're calling it 'Ferd. I only got one class with Pup and it's the same class that I have with Stalker. I have two classes with this sort've friend of mine from Elementary...We're calling her Lanny. Everything else, I'm on my own...

School starts Wednesday. I still haven't comletely finished my school work. Gotta polish up my science stuff and do the last bit of my math and run over my Spanish some more, but I'll be okay.

So last night I went to Nish's church for this worship service thingy and it was fun. But it doesn't look like I'm getting to go tonight...*sigh* Oh, well. At least I got to go once.

So I just got five hours of service hours in for school. YAY! Only 20 more to go! ;~}

:: Building 429: Glory Defined ::

I'm expanding my music repetoire. I still like BG the best. And then comes Rebecca St. James, Big Daddy Weave, and Todd Agnew. But there are lots of other people that I'm starting to listen to. Like MercyMe, Casting Crowns, Salvador, Sonicflood, tobyMac, Relient K, Kutless, Switchfoot, Third Day, Audio Adrenaline, Building 429, Stellar Kart, Matthew West, Starfield, Tree63, Jeremy Camp, and stuff. Yep yep...

I'd also like to say that Battlefield of the Mind is a really awesome book. I'm not done yet, but it's awesome!

And I'm almost done with my summer work. Seriously, I am. I finished the reading assignment. I have most of the math assignment done. And I only lack a bit before I get my science project done. And the Spanish is super easy so it's all good.

:: SILENCE!!! ::

OK, so everybody knows that while you're at church camp, everyone gets all fired up and passionate about Christ and then you come home and it all just goes away. So I am determined not to let this happen. I went to camp with questions and I left with clear, defined answers. Honestly, I don't know at what point they became anwers, but on the way back I realized that there was only one path that I could and would take. So when I came home, there were two things on my mind: One, Recreational dating is not for me and Two, it was time that I sat down and had a serious talk with my parents.

I have talked with both of them already. With my mom, it went great (I spoke to each one seperately), but with my dad? I don't think I conveyed things correctly. I just don't think he "got it", you know?

I also went to the Christian Book store. I was looking for two books: I Kissed Dating Goodbye and Boy Meets Girl by Josh Harris. They were both out of stock, so instead I bought Battlefield of the Mind for Teens by Joyce Meyer (with Todd Hafer) and The Power of a Praying Teen by Stormie Omartian. I already started Battlefield and I just finished chapter 3. So far, it's really good. It talks about how it all starts in the mind. Proverbs 23:7a says, "For as he thinks within himself, so he is." NASB As you think in your heart, so you will be.

I'm also working through this book called Every Young Woman's Battle by Shannon Ethridge and Stephen Arterburn.

So...life is good.

:: FUGE!!! ::

I'm back from Centrifuge! Dude, it was awesome. Like, really awesome. I totally loved it. I met Heidi, my Bible Study Leader, who was awesome. I learned new songs that made me cry. I watched as friends of mine came to the Lord and I played a bunch of really fun games with total strangers during Rec. I screamed my head off at Mega Relay and I poured my heart out every night into my journal, so that I wouldn't forget anything over the next year.

So I have this new thing that I got from Sammy, who was our camp pastor and one awesome guy. He says, "Sweet action!" all the time. My sister bought a shirt with a llama that says, "Sweet action!" It's cool. Another thing Sammy does is, when he sees something that tempts him or is just something he doesn't wanna see, he yells, "SILENCE!" Like, "Bug off, Devil." I like that too. ;~}

So we just got back from visiting with our bestest buddies who moved away. Me and Liana hanging out with L and M from the good ole days...yeah, it was awesome. Some highlights:

Liana got two new T-Shirts from the mall, we aimed at a trash can one story below and managed to get a used tissue in, we passed a glob of peanut butter with our noses, we played Big Booty, L and M taught us how to play croquet (I believe that's how you spell it...), I tried to boogy board at the beach and now have very scraped up knees, we video-taped ourselves lots ;~} ,we played tennis and L and M whooped us (they take lessons, so it was really unfair), we burst a giant water balloon while tossing it back and forth over the sink, and we played all variations of Hide-And-Go-Seek, which includes Classic, Tag, and Freeze Tag versions.
