:: Emotional Moment... ::
Okay, so hi everyone who ever reads this (which would be me, sometimes Nish, and once in a blue moon Liana). I was just on BarlowGirl's SoundPost thing (the link is on their website if you wanna check it out...) under devotions. And this one girl shared her testimony.
So there was this girl, right? And apparently she was born with something like a brain tumor but no one figured that out until she was twelve. So she had brain surgery to remove it and they succeeded in getting that one out but, lo and behold! They discovered another tumor during that first surgery. But this one was too deep to remove, so they had to use radiation and hope it worked. So they started the treatments and every year or so she'd have an angiogram or something or other that took pics of her brain and that way they'd keep an eye on the tumor to see if the radiation treatment was working.
So the first test they're all like, "Yeah, it's working, should be gone by next year." But the next year they find out that the radiation had quit working for her. Only 10% or so of the tumor was left, so they decided to wait another year and then test it again to decide what to do. Too deep for surgery, but radiation didn't seem to be working and all so...
During that year, the girl came to know the Lord. Then, she discovered BarlowGirl. Saw a couple concerts, bought their cd's, etc. Never Alone was her favorite song of their's (it also happened to be the song that I was listening and singing along to while I was reading her testimony.)
So it comes time to do some tests to see what's up with this tumor. They put her to sleep and everything. And while she was out and everything, like in the middle of the surgery, she starts singing Never Alone. So the doctors tell her, anyway. She can't remember, she was out!
After the testing is done, she wakes up and they tell her that she is cured after six years.
"I cried out with no reply and I can't feel you by my side so I'll hold tight to what I know. You're here and I'm never alone." - Never Alone, by BarlowGirl
Matthew 28:20b. "And lo, I am always with you, even until the end of the age."
I choked up and couldn't finish singing the song.
